Make It Look Good: Photographing Your Work

 1 – 5pm, Monday 5th March 2012

Waterside Arts Centre

£12 (plus £1.00 booking fee for card transactions)

Acclaimed photographers Jo and Christoph Shaw present a ‘do it yourself’ guide to photographing your own work. They reveal the tips and tricks to help you photograph your work to its best advantage – ideal for artists and creatives working in 2D and 3D. Learn how to best position your work, how to light it and bring out the details and perspectives you want to highlight.

This session is designed for artists working on a tight budget but who still need to promote their work. Jo & Christoph present a range of examples to photograph your work on both small and medium size budgets, from £50 to £200.

This workshop will help you understand your own digital camera – and give you the knowledge to move away from auto to customized settings, as well as understand how to use cheap lighting to make your work look its best.

Shaw and Shaw are award-winning photographers who have worked with the creative sector for many years. For more information on their work, see www.shawandshaw.co.uk

‘Your workshop has given me lots of useful tips & inspiration.’
